Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a structured workweek from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Family Matters, your day-to-day responsibilities will be diverse and impactful:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to deeply understand each patient's trauma history and determine the most appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that center on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions grounded in best practices, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each patient's specific needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to foster a safe space for patients to process their trauma and develop essential coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed, delivering support during trauma-related emergencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of your work will be with trauma survivors, offering both individual and group therapy. You will encounter a wide range of cases involving PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, requiring a deep understanding and sensitivity to their experiences and needs. Your role is crucial in helping these individuals navigate their healing processes, reinforcing resilience and instilling hope.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we recognize the value of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Candidates with experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions will be especially suited for this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
