Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders to establish their individualized goals and needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based interventions, such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions and lead group therapy meetings to foster peer support and community among clients.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to offer integrated care, ensuring that all aspects of a patient’s health are addressed.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for patients experiencing substance-related emergencies, utilizing your expertise to guide them through challenging situations.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records according to legal and ethical standards while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, opioids, and other addictive behaviors. You will work with diverse populations, offering tailored interventions that acknowledge the unique cultural and personal backgrounds of each patient. Your support will be vital in empowering clients and their families as they navigate the complexities of addiction and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.

• Proficient understanding of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience providing both individual and group therapy in an addiction treatment setting.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic, inclusive approach to patient care.

• Proven ability to maintain professional boundaries, ethical conduct, and patient confidentiality in all interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
