Work Environment\n

This position offers the convenience of a fully remote telehealth setting, allowing flexibility while maintaining high standards of patient care. Our telehealth platform utilizes advanced technologies to provide seamless and compassionate counseling sessions, ensuring that our team remains accessible to clients whenever they need assistance. Additionally, the work schedule is typically Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate client needs and various practice demands.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for clients, addressing both immediate and long-term mental health goals.

• Complete timely and thorough documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, which includes the creation of crisis intervention plans, behavioral guidelines, and medication treatment plans.

• Employ evidence-based screening tools to accurately assess clients' mental health challenges in collaboration with our clinical team.

• Work cohesively with various care teams to formulate and implement positive behavior support plans, ensuring consistency and quality in patient care.

• Engage in accreditation processes, demonstrating our compliance with clinical standards and providing top-tier services.

• Act as a vital liaison between clients, their families, and community service systems, ensuring seamless access to necessary resources.

• Establish effective communication channels with state agencies, local organizations, and community partners to foster collaboration and establish new opportunities for client support.
\n
• Commit to professional development by attending relevant workshops, conferences, and meetings to enhance skills and share knowledge.

• Uphold and integrate the agency’s mission and values in all interactions, adhering to our core philosophy of empathy and support.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to enhance the functioning of the clinic and better serve our clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with seniors who are navigating complex issues related to age, including grief, chronic illness, loneliness, and the emotional impacts of life transitions. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing their mental health, fostering resilience, and providing tailored strategies to improve their emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification is mandatory.

• A minimum of four years of recent experience specifically in geriatric mental health and counseling.

• Preferred training or specialization in geriatric mental health, with a focus on aging-related issues.

Preferred Experience\n

While four years of experience is required, candidates with demonstrated expertise in addiction counseling, crisis intervention, and a solid understanding of behavioral and emotional issues affecting the elderly will be given preference. Experience working in telehealth settings is also advantageous.
