Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients referred by physicians to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Implement curated treatment programs that incorporate evidence-based approaches, ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills when interacting with patients and their families, fostering a welcoming atmosphere within the facility.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to maximize patient outcomes through integrative approaches.
• Conduct in-home therapy sessions as needed, applying effective procedures to facilitate positive changes in patient conditions as outlined in their plans of care.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on therapeutic techniques and injury prevention, empowering them to participate actively in their rehabilitation process.
• Meet minimum utilization goals and other business objectives while maintaining a focus on delivering top-quality patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to treat a wide variety of patient demographics, including but not limited to orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients. You will work closely with individuals from different backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet the specific therapeutic needs of each patient and ensuring that they can achieve their functional goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a licensed physical therapist.
• Certification in CPR to ensure patient safety during treatment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively document patient progress and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer applications relevant to patient documentation and care plans.
• A commitment to forge strong, productive relationships with patients, facilitating their journey towards recovery and functional independence.
• A genuine desire to connect positively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement includes two years of experience, candidates with specialized training in areas such as sports therapy, pediatric therapy, or neurological rehabilitation will be considered favorably. Additionally, experience in community outreach or education will enhance your fit for this role.
