Advent Care Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Metuchen, New Jersey. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, analyzing their physical capabilities and limitations to establish a tailored treatment plan.
• Implement treatment programs utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation across multiple specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Provide excellent customer service by actively engaging with patients, fostering an environment of support and trust.
• Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes, sharing insights and strategies to enhance effectiveness.
• Administer therapeutic interventions in the clinic and educate patients and their caregivers on best practices for recovery and home exercise programs.
• Monitor and document patient progress to ensure adherence to treatment objectives and make necessary adjustments to care plans as needed.
• Achieve minimum utilization goals and contribute to the overall business objectives of the organization, ensuring both patient satisfaction and clinical success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Advent Care, you will work with a diverse range of patients, each of whom comes with unique challenges and treatment needs. You will engage with orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries or injuries, pediatric patients needing developmental support, patients with neurological conditions, and sports medicine clientele seeking rehabilitation. Your role will focus on creating meaningful relationships with patients, understanding their aspirations, and helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, preferably from an APTA or CAPTE-approved institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is mandatory for practice.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective patient interaction and collaborative teamwork.
• Strong computer skills for documentation purposes and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).

Preferred Experience

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is advantageous.
