Work Environment

This position requires you to work onsite in patients' homes across Winchester, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, limitations, and goals upon initial assessments to establish a comprehensive treatment plan.
• Utilize a combination of exercise regimens, manual therapy techniques, and cutting-edge physical therapy equipment to enhance patients' pain relief and functional mobility.
• Continuously monitor and document patients' progress and responses to treatment, ensuring all records reflect accurate and timely data.
• Adjust treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback, remaining flexible to the evolving needs of each patient.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on therapy goals and techniques, fostering their involvement in the rehabilitation process.
• Assess the need for assistive devices (e.g., walkers, canes) and guide patients and families on their proper use for self-care and ambulation improvement.
• Stay updated on industry best practices by participating in continuing education workshops, professional networking, and contributing to multidisciplinary discussions within the health care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population, including children and adults recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic illnesses. Each patient presents unique challenges, making it essential to tailor interventions that respect individual health backgrounds and recovery objectives. A key part of this role is collaborating closely with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• A valid Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer software related to patient management.
• Demonstrated flexibility and agility in adapting treatment plans as needed while engaging with a variety of patient scenarios.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health care or outpatient settings.
• Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
• Previous direct patient care experience, although recent graduates are welcome to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
