This position allows for remote work, providing you the flexibility to conduct sessions from a comfortable setting while utilizing our state-of-the-art telehealth technology. While your primary work will be conducted virtually, you will also have access to our outpatient office in White Plains for in-person sessions and collaboration with your multidisciplinary colleagues. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status and emotional well-being, utilizing standardized evaluation tools and clinical interviews.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans with clear goals and measurable outcomes, regularly updating these as necessary.

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, ensuring the application of evidence-based interventions that cater to the unique needs of each client.

• Monitor clients’ progress, systematically adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support to clients facing immediate challenges, ensuring proactive management of high-risk situations.

• Maintain detailed and confidential client records while adhering to accepted legal and ethical standards.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, social workers, and peer support specialists—to offer holistic care that addresses all aspects of a client's well-being.

• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions to stay current with the latest mental health practices.

• Participate in regular supervision meetings to enhance clinical skills and discuss cases with peers and supervisors.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Hopeful Steps, you will serve a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Your work will center on understanding and respecting clients’ unique backgrounds and circumstances, developing culturally competent approaches to therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or Doctorate in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.

• Current state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R) is required.
