Work Environment

You will collaborate within a supportive and interdisciplinary team at our assisted living facility. Located in the vibrant community of Reno, the facility features a welcoming environment that encourages both residents and staff to thrive. The typical work schedule is from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics extending until 8:00 p.m. You may also participate in community health events or health fairs during weekends, underscoring our commitment to holistic community health.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings to identify individual healthcare needs accurately.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions, implementing comprehensive treatment plans, and providing education on preventive care.
• Collaborate with local community organizations to develop and participate in health education initiatives that promote overall wellness.
• Provide culturally sensitive and compassionate care, advocating for patients' rights and their access to necessary healthcare services.
• Coordinate referrals and manage follow-up care to ensure continuity, enhancing patients’ overall healthcare experience.
• Maintain detailed, accurate electronic medical records to comply with regulatory standards and best practices, ensuring information is readily accessible to the healthcare team.
• Participate in community outreach events, offering health screenings and educational workshops to improve community engagement and awareness.

Qualifications

• A current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• An active state nursing license valid in Nevada.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in healthcare settings, ideally with a focus on community health or public health.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

• We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 – $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
