Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office located in Reno, providing a supportive, onsite work environment. You will typically work a structured schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional evening clinics available until 8:00 p.m. and, on occasion, participation in community outreach events or health fairs during weekends. Our team-oriented approach ensures you will collaborate closely with fellow healthcare professionals committed to delivering the highest standard of care, averaging around 40 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and screenings for patients of all ages, focusing on both chronic disease management and preventive care.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using evidence-based practices, developing personalized care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to create and implement effective health education programs that empower the community.
• Use culturally sensitive approaches to provide care and champion for patient rights and access to services, ensuring that no patient is left behind.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care, facilitating communication between patients and specialists to guarantee continuity in healthcare.
• Maintain meticulous and compliant medical records following regulatory standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and data integrity in our electronic health record systems.
• Engage actively in community outreach events and health fairs, providing crucial health screenings and education to raise public awareness.
• Stay informed of emerging community health trends, best practices, and relevant policy changes to continually enhance service effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on diverse populations within the Reno community, including families, children, and the underserved. You will address a variety of healthcare challenges, from routine check-ups to managing chronic diseases, all while advocating for health equity and access for vulnerable populations, thereby contributing significantly to improved healthcare outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner certification and active state nursing license in Nevada.
• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, ideally within community health or public health settings, demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive healthcare delivery.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

• Attractive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
