Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• State licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably at the elementary level
• Competence in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Knowledge of or openness to learning about AAC devices and other assistive technology
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with teachers, support staff, and families

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary students with a range of communication needs
• Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans, focusing on students with limited verbal skills
• Integrate the use of AAC devices and visual supports as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all students on the caseload
• Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise in communication strategies and progress updates
• Educate and collaborate with classroom staff and family members to promote consistency across environments
