As a fully remote position with outpatient office support, this role allows counselors to maintain a flexible work-life balance while engaging with teams and clients across digital platforms. Key Responsibilities\n

• Actively engage in regular clinical consultations and partake in multidisciplinary co-learning opportunities to enhance collaborative care practices.

• Complete comprehensive clinical documentation accurately and timely, ensuring adherence to organization standards and best practices.

• Provide direct behavioral health assessment, counseling, and case management services to Black birthing families, addressing their emotional and psychological needs.
\n
• Coordinate with prenatal care team members, including obstetricians, midwives, doulas, and lactation educators, to ensure holistic and quality integrated care.
\n
• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups alongside trained birth workers, fostering community connection and knowledge.
\n
• Participate in community engagement events aimed at promoting overall wellness and facilitating a supportive network for birthing individuals and families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on Black birthing families, a demographic often underserved in mental health services. You will be instrumental in providing culturally competent care that respects the unique challenges and circumstances these families face. Your work will contribute significantly to improving maternal mental health outcomes, promoting resilience, and building supportive community networks.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensure as either an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in good standing.

• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse range of clients and colleagues.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment, asking for assistance when required.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with marginalized communities, particularly in maternal and child health.

• Previous involvement in community health initiatives or support groups.

• Excellence in clinical documentation and a familiarity with electronic health record systems.
