Work Environment

This role is based in our outpatient office, where the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will work at the forefront of pediatric care. Surrounded by a skilled team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing treatment plans while maintaining a patient-centered approach. The office hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients, including physical exams, health histories, and diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians, ensuring a holistic approach.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, preventive care options, and health management strategies tailored to individual circumstances.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
• Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, addressing psychological, social, cultural, and economic factors affecting health.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives, adhering to best practices and industry standards to optimize patient experiences.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay updated on pediatric best practices and advanced nursing techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Cherish Care Wellness, you will primarily serve a diverse population of children from infancy through adolescence. The role involves caring for patients with a wide range of conditions, including common pediatric ailments, chronic health issues, and developmental disorders. You will apply a family-centered care model to ensure that health interventions are understanding and supportive of family dynamics.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification, specializing in pediatrics (CPNP) is essential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and any additional certifications required for specific department specialties.

Preferred Experience

We require a minimum of five years of recent, relevant experience in pediatric care. Candidates who have experience in specialized pediatric practices or have worked in an outpatient clinic setting will be highly regarded.
