Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Tallahassee facility, where you will collaborate closely with a diverse team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. Our facility is designed to support teamwork and communication, thereby enhancing our ability to provide comprehensive cardiovascular services. You will work standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours required for patient consultations or emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough assessments of patient health, which includes reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests to evaluate cardiovascular conditions.
• Diagnosing and devising treatment plans for patients afflicted with cardiovascular diseases ranging from coronary artery disease and heart failure to arrhythmias and valvular disorders.
• Performing and interpreting essential diagnostic tests and imaging studies such as echocardiograms, stress tests, angiograms, and cardiac catheterizations to guide treatment decisions.
• Formulating personalized treatment plans that include appropriate medication management and lifestyle recommendations for effective disease management.
• Carrying out interventional procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, and the implantation of pacemakers, as needed for patient care.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the development of comprehensive care plans, facilitating seamless coordination of patient care.
• Providing patients with education on managing their cardiovascular health, emphasizing preventive measures and lifestyle changes to reduce risks.
• Engaging in research and clinical trials to contribute to the advancement of cardiology and improve patient care.
• Maintaining meticulous and up-to-date patient records in our electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Proactively pursuing professional development, staying informed on the latest advancements in cardiology best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with diverse patient demographics, ranging from adolescents to seniors, each presenting with unique cardiovascular challenges. Our patient population seeks innovative and personalized care, so your ability to connect with them and provide compassionate guidance is paramount. We focus on preventative care as well as acute management, ensuring patients receive comprehensive support.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school is required.
• Completion of a residency program in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology from a recognized institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in cardiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine or similar certification is required.
• Active medical license to practice cardiology in Florida.
• Expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide variety of cardiovascular conditions is essential.
• Proficiency in performing and interpreting cardiac tests and diagnostic imaging.
• Strong analytical skills accompanied by effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for patient engagement.
• The ability to collaborate successfully within a multidisciplinary team is vital.
• A demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care is expected.
• Dedication to remaining current with new research and developments within the cardiology field is essential.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in cardiology or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with advanced cardiac imaging techniques and interventional procedures will be advantageous.
• Prior involvement in cardiology research and clinical trials is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
