An established, chef-driven restaurant is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our growing team. We are looking for a hands‑on leader who is passionate about food, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and is committed to maintaining high standards of quality, organization, and teamwork.. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of kitchen operations, help build a strong team, and grow with an expanding restaurant.. Responsibilities. - Assist in overseeing all daily kitchen operations.. - Lead the kitchen during service and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.. - Train, mentor, and supervise line cooks and prep staff.. - Manage inventory and place weekly food and supply orders.. - Coordinate with vendors and receive deliveries.. - Monitor food costs, portion control, and waste reduction.. - Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards.. - Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.. - Work closely with management to improve kitchen operations and overall guest experience.. - Step into any station as needed and support the team during busy services.. Qualifications. - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or strong Lead Line Cook.. - Experience with inventory management, ordering, and vendor relationships.. - Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.. - Knowledge of food costing and labor management.. - Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.. - Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays..
