Payroll AdministratorThe Payroll Administrator is responsible for preparing and processing weekly non-union payrolls, reviewing and ensuring accuracy of approved timesheets, and managing garnishments and other special payroll deductions. This role also assists with bi-weekly player and full-time employee payrolls, while helping to maintain payroll and time tracking within Workday database.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPreparation and processing payrollsAssist with running reports for union compliance and dues/benefits remittanceAssist with maintenance, testing, and upgrades within WorkdayMaintain and audit timecards for non-exempt employees and minor league playersCorrespond with Equifax regarding unemployment claims and maintenanceReconcile unclaimed wages for all payrollsCollaborate with co-workers on projects and answer employee questionsActively participate in payroll auditsMaintain appropriate payroll records in accordance with company policies and proceduresEnroll, fund, and reconcile player/coach/staff debit cards for seasonal meal and housing per diemTrack imputed income for employees with company leased vehiclesFile and archive documentsQualificationsUndergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field1-3 years of payroll processing experienceHighly proficient in Microsoft ExcelStrong technical and analytical skillsExperience with database functions and maintenance, including report creationStrong organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretionMust have the ability to problem solve, multitask, meet hard deadlines, work independently and in a team environment, prioritize, pay attention to details, and communicate effectivelyThe above information is intended to describe the general nature, type, and level of work to be performed.
