Office Administrator

Who We Are

Fortuna is a vibrant Mediterranean restaurant in Manhattan’s East Village. We’re a small, passionate team that takes pride in great food, genuine hospitality, and building something meaningful together.

The Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and highly organized Office Admin to support our daily operations, ensure seamless communication, and contribute to a productive work environment. The ideal candidate is responsible, hardworking, and independent — someone open to learning and growing with the business.

Responsibilities
  • Primary contact for email communications – customers, vendors, and staff
  • Organize and maintain the company calendar
  • Manage digital platforms and vendor accounts: Google Workspace, OpenTable, POS, and social media
  • Customer relations and announcements
  • Events coordination
  • Vendor communication, purchasing, and contract tracking
  • Inventory tracking and ordering support
  • Assist with payroll coordination and time tracking
  • Printed materials – menus, flyers, signage
  • Office & operational supplies
  • Compliance correspondence with city, state, and federal agencies
HR & Onboarding
  • New hires and employee files
  • Staff admin support and personnel records
  • Assist with tracking operational and HR metrics
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality environment
  • Restaurant experience a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Able to work independently while supporting team needs
  • Detail-oriented, efficient, and self-motivated
  • Fluent in English

  • Microsoft Office – Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Google Workspace
  • AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar)
