Product Development Representative Trench Solutions - Texas First Rentals

As a Product Development Representative (PDR), you will act as a single point of contact for Trench Safety products and services for strategic, key, district, regional, and territory accounts within the specified product and/or geography. You will be a technical resource for Trench Safety providing training and project support to customers for new and existing product lines, while educating other Company business units on Trench Safety products and applications. As a PDR, you will drive incremental profitable revenue for the Trench Division of Texas First Rentals (TFR) and other businesses within the company through lead sharing and trade area cooperation. As a PDR, you will be required to grow and maintain core trench business with end users and reps as previously mentioned by maintaining and building strategic relationships. Expected practices include demonstrating alignment with company mission and core values, collaborating with key internal and external resources, and participating in ongoing self‑development. Essential Functions Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with Vision, Values, and Mission. Provides Legendary Customer Service to corporate target customers and larger potential customer base. Collaborates with leadership to identify Enterprise opportunities for revenue gain within customer base and executes said targets. Serves as the company "expert" on each assigned product category and acts as a liaison to all Strategic, Key, District, Regional, and Territory Sales Teams. Collaborates with leadership/supervisor to conduct a quarterly business review of portfolio with product categories. Develops and executes business plans using SMART Goals with each assigned target. Accompanies sales representatives, as subject matter expert, on technically complex sales calls and assists them in selecting proper equipment to provide customers with the most effective solution. Manages rate structure for larger projects with Management and Sales Reps to maximize return on investment. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Expert technical aptitude and understanding of Trench Safety Rental Solutions and products. Expert knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills to engage with vendors, staff, and corporate executives, influencing and persuading. Strong problem‑solving, planning, organization, time management, and analytical skills. Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi‑tasking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building abilities; focus on retention. Excellent formal presentation skills before small and large groups. Results oriented; capable of business development, KPIs, and market expansion to meet corporate targets. Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization and customer operations. Ability to perform rapid mathematical computations including percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Independent and team‑oriented work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Requirements Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Minimum of four years of work‑related skill, knowledge, or experience required; five to six years preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Travel: Extensive driving required; overnight travel required. Valid driver's license required. Physical Requirements: Extended periods in a stationary position; occasional movement to access office machinery and filing areas. Frequent communication with others to exchange accurate information. Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Ability to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles for extended periods without fatigue. Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 30 lbs. Good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina required. Ability to ascend/descend ladders and navigate confined spaces. Safe maneuvering and work underneath equipment. React promptly to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions. Safety training required; personal protective equipment necessary outside of office and parking areas. Work Environment: Professional office, jobsite, or industrial locations. Regular outdoor work with exposure to weather extremes such as inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity. Loud noise levels at times. Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high‑pressure water, and high‑speed rotating equipment. Occasional time in confined spaces and elevated areas. Fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
