Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients experiencing mood disorders, evaluating the severity and impact of their symptoms.

• Develop customized treatment plans that reflect client goals and preferences, utilizing a combination of methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Implement evidence-based interventions while monitoring and evaluating client progress regularly to adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Engage in collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Educate and support clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the healing process.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to ethical and legal standards while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.

• Advocate for client needs, including working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues and facilitating access to community resources for vulnerable populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets individuals suffering from various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, including homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic violence, providing essential support and facilitating their path towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
