Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.

• Develop personalized treatment plans, incorporating client goals and preferences while ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions through proven methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to address specific client challenges.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance their coping mechanisms.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment plans based on ongoing assessment and feedback.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure an integrated care approach for clients requiring a multidisciplinary treatment strategy.

• Engage consistently in professional development by staying current with research and emerging trends in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Uphold ethical standards by maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal mandates.

• Advocate for client needs and mental health awareness to combat stigma while supporting those experiencing challenges such as homelessness, trauma, or domestic violence.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work at Health Journey Wellness will primarily involve clients facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals, including marginalized groups such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, helping them navigate their experiences and work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
