Key Responsibilities\n

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on a thorough psychosocial assessment, integrating both traditional and alternative therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's specific needs.

• Conduct virtual counseling sessions via secure platforms, providing psychological support to individuals, couples, families, or groups, depending on the requirements of your caseload.

• Employ evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, ensuring that approaches are customized to enhance patient engagement and progress.

• Remain informed of groundbreaking mental health research and advancements, incorporating relevant findings into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes continually.

• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in every interaction with patients and colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of your counseling will be on cancer patients as they navigate various stages of their journey—diagnosis, treatment, recurrence, end-of-life, and survivorship. You will provide empathetic and knowledgeable support to not only patients but also their caregivers, helping them cope with the psychological toll of cancer. Your work will encompass a wide array of psychosocial issues, including anxiety management, grief, and family dynamics related to the illness.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license in Washington State as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
\n
• A clean record, with no history of Medical Malpractice Claims, verified through a third-party background check.
\n
• Authorization to work in the United States.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with oncology patients or those facing chronic illnesses in a mental health setting is highly regarded.

• Familiarity with community resources available for cancer patients and their families is a plus.

• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms to conduct virtual sessions effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
