Complete and Wellness Mind Care P.C. is seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in Laredo, Texas. This full-time position offers a remote work setting, providing you with the opportunity to conduct both individual therapy sessions and group therapy interventions virtually. The successful candidate will focus on delivering intensive therapeutic services to children and their families, specifically targeting those with developmental disabilities and other intellectual challenges.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized in-home therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy sessions, either virtually or in outpatient settings, tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Implement effective strategies for anger management, coping skills development, and social skills training to help minimize high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior or physical aggression.
\n
• Assist caregivers in developing decision-making skills that effectively manage behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Engage in consistent collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy for youth and families.
\n
• Prepare and submit all necessary documentation within set deadlines, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, to maintain clarity in patient care.
\n
• Attend monthly team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on working with children aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Your expertise will directly contribute to the enhancement of their social, emotional, and developmental skills, fostering a supportive environment where they can thrive. You will also engage with their families, empowering them to support their child's growth effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in Texas is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with flexibility for weekend sessions.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are required for travel to client locations.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support techniques.
\n
• Previous experience working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities is highly desirable but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese is a significant plus, as it will enhance communication with our diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
