Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, understanding their unique needs and backgrounds.
• Provide individual and family therapy sessions based on assessed needs, using various therapeutic techniques to facilitate healing and growth.
• Efficiently complete billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms within established time frames, maintaining thorough and accurate records.
• Develop and implement crisis plans, safety plans (as required), and relapse prevention plans, ensuring clients are equipped with strategies for maintaining stability.
• Create comprehensive discharge plans that support clients' continued well-being outside the therapeutic setting.
• Adhere to all relevant federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies, ensuring compliance in all aspects of practice.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by participating in training, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.
• Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to the collaborative environment of the organization.
• Complete all licensure requirements and mandatory trainings to maintain professional standing and ensure quality care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that qualifies for licensure as a mental health professional.
• Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW) in the State of Massachusetts is required.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working within outpatient settings, particularly in providing therapy for individuals and families.
• Demonstrated ability in conducting thorough assessments and creating tailored treatment plans.
• Experience in crisis intervention techniques and development of safety and wellness plans.
