Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and interviews, documenting case details from the first consultation through ongoing treatment.

• Assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to formulate appropriate therapy interventions and recovery plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs, making necessary adjustments as treatment progresses.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for discourse and healing.

• Monitor client progress through regular check-ins, using both qualitative and quantitative metrics to adjust treatment strategies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that may include psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to create comprehensive care plans.

• Engage with family members and caregivers to provide guidance on managing mental health challenges effectively.

• Keep up to date with the latest best practices in mental health counseling and psychotherapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related fields from an accredited institution. A Master’s or doctoral degree is preferred.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.

• Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• Previous experience providing counseling or therapy in a clinical setting.
\n
• Ability to work effectively with electronic health record systems; familiarity with AVATAR is a plus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients who have comorbid physical and emotional health conditions and addiction issues.

• Knowledge of the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Understanding the implications of pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical specialists and their effects on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n
