Duality Mental Health Services is seeking a dedicated Virtual Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW) to join our team in Thousand Oaks, California. This full-time, remote role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of adolescents and young adults struggling with mental health challenges. As a key member of our outpatient team, you will provide high-quality mental health care delivered effectively through telehealth platforms.

Work Environment\n

This is a 100% remote position, providing flexibility and comfort as you conduct therapy from your home office. Our Operations team simplifies administrative processes, so you can concentrate on client care. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, with no on-call responsibilities, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct virtual assessments and screenings to thoroughly evaluate clients’ mental health and substance use histories, utilizing our secure telehealth technology.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's unique needs.
\n
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary treatment team members to ensure clients receive integrated care that addresses all aspects of their well-being.
\n
• Provide education and support to clients' families, encouraging their active participation in the recovery process and promoting a holistic treatment approach.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with industry regulations, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on adolescents and young adults who are navigating complex mental health issues. By utilizing a compassionate, client-centered approach, you will help empower these young individuals to develop coping strategies that enhance their emotional resilience and overall mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.
\n
• Must have active state licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or PsyD.
\n
• Proven experience in providing telehealth therapy, specifically tailored to adolescents and young adults.
\n
• Willingness to engage in training for our evidence-based treatment frameworks known as care pathways.
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating clarity and empathy in all interactions with clients and families.
\n
• Strong computer proficiency, including navigating Google Suite and EHR systems.
\n
• Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance in a virtual environment.
\n
• Compassionate engagement skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.
\n
• 2-3 years of experience in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
\n
• A reliable internet connection and a dedicated, private workspace to ensure confidentiality.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in working with diverse populations, particularly in non-traditional therapy settings.

• Familiarity with integrating family therapy approaches into treatment plans.
\n
• Experience in using various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
