Work Environment\n

The position is primarily remote, allowing for a significant degree of flexibility in balancing work and personal life. However, you will also be part of a collaborative outpatient office, connecting with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams through virtual meetings and occasional in-person gatherings. The work hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, ensuring an accurate understanding of their mental health status.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating their goals and preferences while utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Implement various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), designed to effectively address mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapy outcomes and enhance mental well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. By addressing the unique challenges associated with these disorders, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the psychological and emotional resilience of clients from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, focusing specifically on mood disorders.

• A strong knowledge base of evidence-based treatment approaches for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.

• Understanding of psychopharmacology and experience collaborating with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to optimize treatment.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive treatment outcomes for individuals with mood disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on your experience and qualifications.
