Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, using standardized tools and clinical interviews.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique needs, preferences, and treatment goals, incorporating evidence-based practices.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate client progress and therapeutic change.

• Monitor and track client progress through regular therapy sessions, assessments, and follow-ups, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Provide education and support for clients and their families about mood disorders, including treatment options and self-care strategies, fostering a deeper understanding and engagement in the treatment process.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, comprehensive care that meets the holistic needs of each client.

• Stay current with the latest research and treatment advancements in mood disorders to enhance the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client sessions and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical standards of practice.

• Engage in professional development opportunities, including training, workshops, and supervision, to refine clinical skills and knowledge related to mood disorders.

• Advocate for clients' rights and needs, working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and ensuring diverse patient populations feel heard and understood.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clinical focus of this role will be predominantly on individuals experiencing mood disorders. This includes a diverse client base, ranging from adolescents to adults, who may be struggling with symptoms of depression, bipolar disorder, or anxiety-related challenges. Your role will be crucial in providing understanding, support, and effective therapeutic interventions aimed at improving their overall mental health and quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on mood disorders is preferred.

• Strong familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Competence in understanding psychopharmacology and collaborative treatment planning in partnership with psychiatrists and medical professionals.

• Demonstrated ability to produce successful outcomes with clients suffering from mood disorders.

• Excellent communication skills that foster the development of rapport and trust with diverse client populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
