The Executive Assistant Position

This high-impact partnership role enables executive leaders to remain prepared, focused, and aligned on the company’s most important priorities while ensuring commitments and key initiatives continue moving forward.

 

The Executive Assistant serves as a central point of coordination for executive priorities, communications, meetings, and follow-through across the organization. This role requires professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information with care while building strong working relationships across departments. The successful Executive Assistant will be polished, organized, composed under pressure, and proactive in anticipating needs before they become urgent.

 

Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Executive Assistant

• 5–10 years supporting executives, owners, or senior leaders.
• Executive and leadership-meeting preparation, including agendas, materials, follow-up, and action-item tracking.
• Advanced calendar management and the ability to protect executive time.
• Advanced Microsoft Office capability, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
• Sound judgment, composure, urgency, and strong follow-through.
• Strong written communication and executive-level correspondence skills.
• Comfort working with confidential personnel, financial, strategic, and operational information.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of relevant experience, training, and demonstrated capability will be considered.

The Executive Assistant reports directly to the CEO and C-Suite Executives. A daily in-person presence in Fessler & Bowman’s Grand Blanc, MI office is required for this position.

 

The Recruiting and Selection Process

The recruiting process includes a combination of preliminary phone screens and interviews, candidate assessments, reference checks, and a pre-employment background check and drug test.
