Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their individual needs and goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to each client's circumstances.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor client progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare providers for integrated care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in line with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to promote best practices and continuous professional development.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs to reduce stigma and enhance their support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, your expertise will extend to supporting vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your role is crucial in providing these clients with a safe space to explore their challenges and develop coping strategies.

• Active and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
