Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time at Functional Physical Therapy

Functional Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our thriving outpatient facility located in Sunnyvale, California. Work Environment

This role is designed for an onsite practitioner who will engage with patients in our modern outpatient clinic. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools, including advanced therapeutic exercise equipment and specialized modalities to maximize recovery outcomes. The clinic operates in a warm, collaborative atmosphere where healthcare professionals work together to ensure each patient's treatment plan is effective and responsive to their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs through detailed evaluations and establish tailored treatment plans to meet individual goals.
• Engage with 1–2 patients per hour in a focused therapy session, employing hands-on techniques to promote mobility and lessen discomfort.
• Implement evidence-based practice techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Track and document patient progress using WebPT and adjust treatment plans based on patient feedback and outcomes.
• Collaborate with fellow therapists, occupational therapists, and medical staff to create a comprehensive care approach for each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with an orthopedic patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. This diverse clientele presents unique challenges, allowing you to apply your expertise in various therapeutic interventions tailored to recovery journeys. Your empathetic engagement and ability to motivate patients will be vital in helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active license to practice in California, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencing employment.
• Proven clinical reasoning skills and a practical, hands-on approach to patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for inspiring patients throughout their recuperation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Experience with electronic health records systems, preferably WebPT, to efficiently manage patient documentation.
• Previous work with evidence-based practice methodologies and rehabilitation technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually , complemented by a robust benefits package. Additionally, we offer a supportive work-life balance through a fixed schedule of Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
