Provider Business Development Manager (PBDM) The Provider Business Development Manager (PBDM) is responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies focused on physicians, medical groups, and community-based organizations for Keck Medicine of USC. Responsibilities Initiate and nurture referral relationships with identified partners within designated geographic service areas. Perform focused outreach and development for assigned service lines. Increase visibility of primary and specialty services. Increase physician alignment with affiliated organizations as directed. Increase downstream revenue and new patient acquisition. Provide leadership with timely intel on strategic market development opportunities. Utilize data and market research to proactively identify growth opportunities and mitigate barriers to utilization. Deliver unparalleled customer service to our referral network. Routinely communicate with external providers to increase awareness of services, facilitate introductions to Keck Medicine of USC faculty, identify barriers to utilization, and improve service levels. Support strategic growth goals by using market research and data to draft outreach plans for existing and new accounts. Present plans for endorsement, provide timely updates on progress, review results and modify approach as needed to achieve objectives. Act as the department’s subject matter expert for assigned service lines and represent the department in internal meetings. Conduct multi‑geography specialty growth plans. Research the referring physician market, competitors, and monitor physician networks. Maintain documentation of outreach efforts in the Customer Relationship Management module or approved tracking tool. Collaborate with colleagues to drive incremental growth across prioritized services. Assist in executing the team’s annual calendar of Provider Business Development events. Escalate opportunities to develop business with payors and community hospitals that may transfer patients, providing relevant insights. Work with Marketing and Communications to formulate and distribute strategic collateral for physician outreach. Required Qualifications Business Administration degree in Healthcare, Marketing, Communications, or business, or equivalent education and experience. At least 5 years of experience driving healthcare business development, physician relations, or network development in a hospital environment OR 5 years of proven record in pharmaceutical, physician, or medical sales. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems. Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical skills, financial acumen, and proven sales experience. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction. Ability to work some evenings and weekends. Ability to travel outside of the office. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Healthcare or Business Administration. Required Licenses & Certifications Driver's License (CA DMV) with a clean driving record. Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days and maintained by renewal before expiration. Salary The annual base salary range for this position is $81,120.00 – $133,010.00.
