Clinical Informatics Specialist - Remote

Description This role is remote, however the candidate needs to be in a footprint state (AK, WA, MT, OR, CA, TX) not further than 2 hours from a Providence location The Virtual Clinical Informatics team supports all Providence clinicians and caregivers in their utilization of Epic, this support is provided remotely 24/7. Given the nature of 24/7 support it is crucial that candidates for this role be available to work the following schedule: Wednesday-Saturday from 11am - 9:30pm PDT. The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS) serves as a professional role model in promoting the understanding, integration, and effective use of information technology in healthcare settings. The CIS acts as a liaison between clinical practice and Information Services, supporting clinical and interprofessional caregivers throughout the care continuum in the implementation, learning, use, adoption, and optimization of clinical technologies. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Clinical discipline, Information Technology/Informatics, Business, Education, Management, Communications, or related field Or equivalent educ/experience 2 years In a position that has the same or similar primary duties working with a clinical information system within a healthcare setting. Experience with EHR systems. Experience with benefits and challenges of adult learning.
