The Physical Therapist will work primarily in a home care setting, providing therapy services directly to patients in their residences. Key Responsibilities

• Employ a variety of modalities and technologies to manage pain and restore mobility, ensuring each therapy session is proactive and responsive to patient needs.
• Regularly document patient progress, adjustment of treatment goals, and the effectiveness of interventions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physicians and occupational therapists, to optimize patient outcomes and address any emerging healthcare needs.
• Educate patients and their families on the therapeutic process, self-management strategies, and safe usage of assistive devices.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, participating in training opportunities, and staying current with new therapy techniques and guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The role primarily involves working with a diverse range of patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, including pediatric to geriatric populations. This requires a compassionate approach to rehabilitation that emphasizes understanding individual patient backgrounds and tailoring treatments to suit varied lifestyle and functional needs.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Must hold a valid Physical Therapy license in the State of Florida.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective patient interactions and documentation processes.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and general office software.
• Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills in diverse and dynamic work environments.

Preferred Experience
