Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their orthopedic needs, followed by the development and implementation of personalized treatment plans aimed at rehabilitation and recovery.
• Execute treatment protocols that align with physicians' care plans and adhere to professional standards and agency policies.
• Deliver high-quality patient care that includes physical assessments, functional exercises, manual therapy techniques, and advanced therapeutic modalities.
• Educate patients and their families about effective in-home treatment options, exercises, and safety protocols to foster continued recovery.
• Document patient progress rigorously and ensure that all relevant information is communicated with other healthcare professionals involved in the patient's treatment.
• Implement preventative care strategies to mitigate the risk of future injuries or functional disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients experiencing various musculoskeletal issues, ranging from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Your focus will be on developing individualized treatment plans that aim to restore mobility, enhance functional capacity, and promote overall well-being. By utilizing evidence-based practices and building rapport, you will play a crucial role in driving successful patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A valid and active physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of three years of experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Current certifications in First Aid, AED, and CPR.
• Strong background and proficiency in treating musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.
• Proficient in word processing and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is three years of experience, candidates with experience in home care settings or with specialized training in rehabilitation techniques will be given preference. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and settings, as well as leadership skills to mentor junior staff, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
