Work Environment

This role involves providing onsite therapy services in the homes of our clients, primarily situated in Coconut Creek, Florida. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Our team values collaboration, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with other healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to coordinate the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Orthopedic Physical Therapist include:

• Personalized Treatment Planning: Plan, develop, and implement tailored physical therapy programs that address specific orthopedic issues, ensuring that each treatment aligns with the patient's goals and capacities.
• Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, and joint performance. Utilize findings to inform treatment plans.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Administer a variety of treatments, including manual exercises, guided movements, and functional activities to promote recovery and mobility in patients. This includes facilitating exercises both manually and non-manually.
• Patient Education: Instruct and motivate patients regarding independent exercises and daily living activities to ensure their progress continues outside therapy sessions.
• Device Fitting and Assessment: Evaluate and recommend orthopedic devices such as braces or prosthetics, collaborating with physicians for adjustments based on patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our client base ranges from active adults to seniors, each requiring unique approaches to therapy tailored to their medical histories and lifestyles.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active state license in Florida to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong foundational knowledge of orthopedic assessment and treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills for effective patient interactions and education.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records to efficiently document and track patient progress.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least two (2) years of hands-on experience working in orthopedics, geriatrics, or related outpatient settings. Experience with innovative therapy modalities and a strong understanding of treatment protocols will be a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
