Work Environment

This role involves providing physical therapy services directly to patients in their homes, promoting a comfortable and personalized healing environment. As an onsite provider, you will engage with patients in their daily surroundings, allowing for more tailored therapeutic interventions. This position offers a stable schedule from Monday to Friday, with working hours from either 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing for work-life balance while providing valuable support to patients within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, formulate detailed treatment plans and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
• Lead patients through active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, activities of daily living, prosthetic training, and gait and functional training to optimize recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about care plans and self-management strategies to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including physicians and occupational therapists, to provide coordinated care that meets the intricate needs of each patient.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic massage and stretching, to facilitate recovery and alleviate pain.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative care following surgeries such as knee or hip replacements, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. By understanding individual patient needs and goals, you will create meaningful rehabilitation experiences that lead to functional improvement and a return to normal activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, with an active State Physical Therapy license.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in orthopedic settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on fostering trust and rapport with patients and their families.
• Proficient clinical assessment, problem-solving, and treatment skills.

Preferred Experience

• Preference will be given to candidates with additional board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.
• Experience in home care settings is desirable but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
