Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations to assess patient needs, establishing treatment goals and plans that address specific rehabilitative goals.
• Implement a variety of treatment techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and patient education tailored to individual needs.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and coordinate treatment strategies.
• Advise and educate patients and their families on exercises, home care management, and usage of assistive devices to enhance mobility and independence.
• Stay current with healthcare trends and advancements by participating in professional development opportunities, contributing to continuous improvement in treatment practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will provide care to a broad spectrum of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. Your ability to create individualized treatment plans will significantly contribute to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and confidence as they transition back into their everyday activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Florida is mandatory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in using electronic health records and documentation software.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, displaying a solid foundation in therapeutic techniques and patient interactions.
• Experience working in outpatient rehabilitation and familiarization with diverse patient populations.
• Certifications or additional training in specialized therapeutic areas are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
