Full-Time Physical Therapist for Home Care Services

Position Overview

Vita Flex Therapeutics is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our compassionate team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This full-time, onsite position will allow you to provide high-quality therapeutic care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. Work Environment

This position is primarily focused on delivering at-home care, where you will work closely with patients who may have mobility challenges or require assistance in performing daily activities. Your responsibilities will include direct patient interaction, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing therapy in various settings, ensuring a holistic care approach. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care tailored to the specific needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities aimed at promoting physical well-being and pain relief.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and establish home exercise programs to facilitate their ongoing recovery.
• Administer modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients during treatment.
• Monitor and document patient progress, tracking improvements such as range of motion, strength gains, and overall functional abilities.
• Ensure treatment areas and equipment are well-organized and prepared for sessions, contributing to a streamlined therapy process.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including Occupational and Speech-Language Therapists, to enhance patient outcomes through coordinated care.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement during rehabilitation, fostering a positive environment that motivates patients towards their recovery goals.
• Adhere to ethical practices and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting their rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients encompass a diverse demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological impairments, sports injuries, chronic pain, and age-related mobility challenges. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Knowledge of treatment techniques, modalities, and patient evaluation methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor to foster rapport with patients.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience working as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a home care or outpatient setting.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documenting patient progress.

Compensation and Benefits
