Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work in a home care setting, directly within clients' residences in and around Fort Lauderdale. This onsite role allows for a personalized approach to therapy, fostering strong relationships with patients and their families. Key Responsibilities

• Develop individualized treatment plans to address patients' physical therapy needs, focusing on preventing disabilities and relieving pain.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the client's functional abilities, employing diagnostic tests on muscles, nerves, and joints.
• Oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure alignment with the established plan of care.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities, including manual therapies, traction, and electrotherapy, leading to improved patient mobility.
• Evaluate the home environment, providing recommendations for modifications that enhance patient independence.
• Regularly document patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on patient responses to therapy.
• Collaborate in case conferences, actively participating in the interdisciplinary team, and contributing to holistic patient care.
• Instruct clients and families in the use of physical therapy equipment and home exercises, fostering a collaborative recovery process.
• Maintain clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Act as a resource for the client's family and other healthcare team members, providing guidance and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role caters primarily to adults and the elderly who require physical rehabilitation due to various conditions, including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain management, neurological deficits, and age-related mobility issues. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
