Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor, you will undertake a variety of critical tasks, including:

• Directing and implementing physical therapy treatments aimed at relieving pain, preventing disability, and restoring function based on each client's unique needs.
• Evaluating and diagnosing clients' functional abilities through a range of assessments, including muscle, nerve, joint, and functional tests.
• Designing and proposing modifications to rehabilitation plans while advising families to ensure alignment with each client's overall care strategy.
• Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to guarantee accurate adherence to care plans.
• Documenting and preparing clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, traction, and other physical modalities to assist clients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to discuss case management and strategize individualized treatment approaches through regular case conferences.
• Engaging with clients and families to educate them on their therapeutic programs and assistive devices, fostering independence in their rehabilitation journey.
• Participating actively in performance reviews and utilizing outcome data to adjust care plans to meet client needs effectively.

Qualifications
