Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valleywise Physical Therapy, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to identify their individual treatment needs.
• Develop, plan, and facilitate customized treatment programs that align with the rehabilitation goals and physician directives.
• Implement therapeutic interventions using diverse treatment modalities, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices.
• Deliver specialized care across various specialties, including orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine.
• Foster excellent customer service by actively engaging and communicating with patients and their families, creating a positive experience.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes and ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care.
• Consult and educate patients and caregivers, empowering them with knowledge and techniques to aid recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population at our Fort Lauderdale office includes individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and various musculoskeletal issues. Qualifications

To successfully fulfill this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) as mandated by the Florida Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as a physical therapist in an outpatient setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on fostering interpersonal relationships with patients and their families.
• Proficient computer skills, including the ability to utilize electronic health records.
• A genuine desire to build relationships and connect with patients on a personal level.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
