Work Environment

The position offers an onsite work setting in our welcoming outpatient office, which is conveniently located in Fort Lauderdale. The clinic is well-equipped with modern rehabilitation tools and therapeutic modalities, including state-of-the-art exercise equipment, ultrasound machines, and electrical stimulation devices. The working hours are structured from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, focusing on improving their mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities, adapting techniques to facilitate pain relief and promote physical well-being.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, ensuring they understand the importance of these practices in their recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as part of comprehensive treatment plans.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, including tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functionality.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure that equipment and supplies are organized and ready for therapy sessions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team, working closely with Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, contributing to a positive clinic atmosphere.
• Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality, respecting the rights and privacy of all individuals receiving care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida is essential.
