Work Environment

As an onsite Physical Therapist, you will be visiting patients in their residences across Deerfield Beach and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for each resident to assess their physical abilities and establish their personalized treatment goals.
• Document progress meticulously, revising treatment plans as necessary to adapt to the evolving needs of patients.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to provide integrated care that addresses the whole person.
• Educate residents and their families about therapeutic activities and exercises they can perform at home to maintain and improve their physical health.
• Develop customized therapy sessions focused on enhancing strength, mobility, and functional independence, incorporating various modalities such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while adhering to professional standards of practice in all therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with geriatric patients and others dealing with orthopedic conditions, requiring specialized knowledge of age-related issues and rehabilitation techniques. Your expertise will be essential in understanding each individual's journey, as you help them regain their independence and improve their quality of life following surgeries, injuries, or chronic health challenges.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Strong understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficient in utilizing therapy tools and technology for patient assessments and treatment.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist, preferably in home care or with the geriatric population.
• Experience in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Previous work in a skilled nursing facility is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary between $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
