As a Clinical Sports Physical Therapist operating in a home care setting, you will engage directly with athletes and active individuals in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Your primary focus will be on providing specialized rehabilitation for sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions, allowing patients to return to their activities at optimal performance levels. Work Environment

This is a full-time position, where you will primarily work onsite at patients' homes throughout Deerfield Beach and surrounding areas. The schedule generally runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to foster a work-life balance while delivering tailored therapy services. You'll be equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed and make a genuine difference in each patient's recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of each patient to diagnose sports-related injuries and develop individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and strength training, ensuring each treatment aligns with best practices in evidence-based care.
• Collaborate effectively with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and fellow healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care that promotes positive recovery outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems to track progress, document treatments, and adjust rehabilitation plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on injury management strategies, performance enhancement techniques, and long-term wellness practices to encourage proactive engagement in their recovery processes.
• Participate actively in performance improvement initiatives, community outreach programs, and workshops aimed at promoting sports health and injury prevention awareness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on athletes, active individuals, and anyone suffering from sports-related injuries. The ability to relate to your clients' experiences and provide empathetic care will be paramount in fostering trust and encouraging their active participation in rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Current State of Florida Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain a license prior to your employment commencement.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy is preferred, ensuring you possess the necessary background to excel in this role.
• Certification as a Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) is highly preferred and will enhance your credibility in working with sports-related injuries.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills and an ability to motivate patients, with a proven patient-centered approach to care.
• CPR/BLS Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced therapeutic modalities, such as dry needling or electrical stimulation, will be considered a strong asset.
• Previous involvement in competitive sports or knowledge of sports science may enhance your ability to connect with patient experiences.
• A commitment to continuous learning, such as attending workshops or advanced certifications relevant to sports therapy.
