Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with sports-related injuries and orthopedic conditions, utilizing a variety of evaluation techniques to determine the best course of treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs that incorporate advanced therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, strength training, neuromuscular re-education, and sport-specific drills.
• Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, sports physicians, and other rehabilitation professionals to ensure a harmonious approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on injury management, performance enhancement, and long-term wellness strategies through workshops and one-on-one sessions.
• Administer therapy sessions while meticulously tracking patient progress using electronic medical records (EMR) to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives promoting sports health and injury prevention, enhancing the visibility and impact of our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary client focus will encompass a diverse range of athletes, from weekend warriors to competitive sports participants, and active individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries. Each patient's journey is personalized, with a strong emphasis on rehabilitation goals that align with their unique athletic pursuits and lifestyle aspirations.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current PT licensure in the state of Florida, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to your start date.
• Minimum of two years of experience in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating expertise in managing sports-related injuries.
• Professional certification such as Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) or plans to obtain this credential is preferred.
• Exceptional communication and motivational skills, complementing a patient-centered approach to care.
• Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

We are particularly interested in applicants who have a background in athletic training, sports psychology, or have previously held positions in competitive sports rehabilitation settings. Experience in utilizing therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and taping techniques will be advantageous.
