Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will undertake a variety of essential tasks aimed at improving patient outcomes:

• Conduct initial evaluations to accurately assess the mental and emotional needs of patients, ensuring a thorough understanding of their backgrounds and challenges.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and coping strategies that cater to each patient’s unique circumstances, focusing on their distinct trauma histories.

• Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to address changing needs and enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Provide education to patients and their families on coping mechanisms for stress and trauma, fostering resilience and self-management skills.

• Actively coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including social and medical agencies, to connect patients with supplementary resources and support services.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions using electronic health records (EMR) systems, and participate in ongoing education to comply with national certification requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve primarily consist of trauma injury patients who require empathetic guidance and therapeutic support. You will engage with individuals grappling with a wide array of mental health challenges stemming from traumatic experiences, which may include anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other stress-related disorders. By fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic alliance, you will help clients navigate their experiences and work toward healing and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
