Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your expertise will be essential in advancing client outcomes through the following responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, and documenting cases meticulously from initial consultation through treatment completion.

• Developing tailored intervention strategies and recovery plans for a broad spectrum of clients including individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitating engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to address diverse mental health challenges.

• Regularly monitoring and documenting client progress throughout the course of treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Providing vital follow-up support with psychiatrists for clients requiring medication management, especially those recently hospitalized.

• Identifying and mitigating behaviors that hinder recovery, while empowering clients to develop healthier coping mechanisms.

• Offering guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers facing mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

The following qualifications are essential for candidates applying for this position:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.

• A strong performance on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Compensation and Benefits\n
