Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized assessments and evaluations to develop tailored therapy plans suited to the unique needs of each client.

• Provide one-on-one and group therapies using evidence-based practices, ensuring that interventions are both effective and aligned with the latest mental health research.

• Employ various therapeutic methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy techniques to assist clients in achieving their therapeutic goals.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in collaborative care with multidisciplinary teams, contributing your expertise to enhance comprehensive treatment strategies for all clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Counselor at Horizon Care, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship issues. You will be instrumental in delivering culturally competent care, respecting diverse backgrounds and life experiences while fostering an inclusive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Active, unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Arizona.

• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, ideally within a clinical setting.

• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in counseling, particularly in a telehealth context.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Demonstrated capacity to function effectively as a part of a healthcare team.

• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) software and related technologies.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, or trauma therapy is highly desirable.

• Experience in substance misuse counseling will be considered an asset.
