Shape the school year for a group of vibrant young learners in a contract position starting September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027. In this role, you’ll serve 3rd and 4th grade students in a Setting 3/Center-Based classroom focused on supporting children with Autism and Cognitive Disabilities. The caseload consists of eight students, giving you the opportunity to provide targeted academic and social-emotional instruction in a multi-age setting. Your team will include two paraprofessionals whom you’ll lead throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ individual education plans (IEPs).
• Foster strong relationships to support academic and emotional growth.
• Create and implement data-driven lesson plans that align with IEP goals.
• Complete all required IEP and evaluation documentation on schedule.
• Collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and school staff to ensure student success.
• Communicate regularly with families to build connections and support learning.
• Oversee two paraprofessionals, providing guidance and support in daily classroom activities.
• Facilitate a classroom environment emphasizing respect, structure, and positive reinforcement.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license.
• Experience working with students with autism and cognitive disabilities is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage a small, center-based classroom with diverse needs.
• Spanish speaking ability is highly valued.
