Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges.

• Collaborate with school personnel, including teachers and administrators, to create a supportive network for students and promote mental wellness initiatives.

• Engage in crisis intervention and risk assessment, offering immediate support to students in distress.

• Document all interactions and treatment plans in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines, ensuring transparency and continuity of care.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the school's overall mental health strategy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily work with children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and trauma-related issues. The focus on this client population necessitates a strong understanding of developmental psychology and effective therapeutic practices tailored to younger demographics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.

• Current and valid LCSW license in the state of Texas.

• Expert knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis management specific to children and adolescents.
