Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations and assessments of referred patients to determine specific physical therapy needs.
• Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals, aligning with physician directives.
• Utilizing techniques and therapeutic methods to assist patients in regaining their mobility and strength, ensuring they are meeting measurable progress.
• Educating patients and their families regarding treatment goals, home exercise programs, and preventive strategies.
• Maintaining accurate records of patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and adherence to best practices for quality assurance.
• Providing mentorship and training to support staff in operational efficiency and patient care outcomes.
• Participating in community outreach initiatives to promote orthopedic health and wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your diverse patient population will primarily focus on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and degenerative conditions. You will have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages, including pediatric, adolescent, and older adult populations, adapting treatments to meet their unique needs. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• Current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong skills in both verbal and written communication, with a focus on compassionate patient interactions.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.

Preferred Experience

While a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and orthopedic specialty training is preferred, we are equally interested in candidates who demonstrate a passion for continued education and professional development.
